Close to the Free State Stadium, Bloemfontein Central finds the bustling Hoffmann Square as its hub, home of the Tourist Information Centre and the Head Post Office.

Originally the town market square, its present purpose was assigned in the 1970's. The Square also acts as a good starting point to viewing Bloemfontein Centrals main sights. These sights include the The Anglican Cathedral, The Court of Appeal, The First Raadsaal, The Fourth Raadsaal, Hertzog House, The National Afrikaans Literary Museum, The Old Presidency, The Supreme Court, The Twin-Spired Church, The Waldorf Building, The Bloemfontein City Hall and The Bloemfontein Fire Station. All these sights can be viewed on a 1 hour walk from the square.
