Little Brak River

The Little Brak River resort is situated on the banks of the river, in a bird sanctuary. Mossel Bay is about 15km's away, ideal if you want to do a quick shopping trip. Bird watching in this area is spectacular. Self-catering units, caravan camps, and hotels are available in the area.

The Little Brak lagoon is within walking distance of the resort and is ideal for some canoeing. During June to November, the whale migration period, you can do some whale watching. In Little Brak area fishing is good and you are likely to catch some elf, kob, or leervis. If sea fishing is not your cup of tea, then you can go up-river, the river is negotiable by boat for about 18km's, and catch some fresh-water fish.

The Little Brak game park, offering the "big five" and elephant rides is close to the resort. You can also do some game drives on quad bikes at the wildlife resort if an elephant ride does not appeal to you. This outing is ideal for a day-trip.

This is a temperate region with cool summers and warm winters. The average temperature in the winter is 24 degrees celsius and in summer 26 degrees.
