Where To Holiday

Marloth Park

Situated on the banks of the Crocodile River at the southern boundary of the Kruger National Park is the resort town of Marloth Park, which is unique in South Africa in that residents are not permitted to erect fences around their property. The result is that wild animals roam freely around the houses and streets of the town. From time to time lions have been sighted near to Marloth Park, and elephants are frequent visitors to the Crocodile River, which is home to hippo and crocodiles. It is commonplace to witness many species of buck and antelope in Marloth Park, The chance of seeing buffalo, giraffe, warthog, baboons and monkeys around the cottages is excellent.

Marloth Park offers a limited amount of accommodation, the majority of houses being privately owned. There are several self-catering accommodation units, a few lodges and one bed-and-breakfast. Marloth Park has one garage and two shops - The Trading Post and The Bush Centre. Most of your self-catering essentials can be bought from these two stores.
