Summerstrand

Summerstrand is a beachfront suburb of Port Elizabeth, just 10 minutes drive from the city centre. Walk to Pollock beach or to the Boardwalk Casino, entertainment and restaurant complex from Summerstrand. The complex has been built on a series of manmade lakes and beautiful gardens, lit at night with thousands of Tivoli lights. Summerstrand is also well placed to visit the local University and Technikon and the Humewood golf course, one of the world's most challenging link courses.

Port Elizabeth, set along the beautiful shores of Algoa Bay, is known as a water sports destination and, because of its mild winters and limited rainfall, even surfing and boarding are practised all year. The combination of eco-attractions and adventure make PE a great holiday destination, yet, despite this, she remains one of South Africa's best kept secrets.
