Swartberg
Local attractions in and around Swartberg include the Thule Rustler's Route. Officially opened in 1997, the Thule Pass was built by farmers in the area as a way of enabling fast reaction to stock rustling. The pass rises to over 2500m and offers some quite spectacular views of the whole of East Griqualand. The pass is some 13 kilometres from the border with Lesotho and is a challenging one to two hour drive if you are an experienced four by four owner.
