Walmer

Probably the most notable thing about Walmer, a suburb of Port Elizabeth, is its proximity to the airport if you're wanting to get to or from it quickly, Walmer is the place to stay and, contrary to what you might think, it is also known as the garden suburb because of the charm of its tree-lined streets, large properties with established, well groomed gardens and the peace and quiet you experience when staying there.

Walmer is one of PE's most sought after residential areas and some of the city's oldest families live here. It is only 10 minutes from the beachfront and the city centre and is within walking distance of Six Avenue and Walmer Park Shopping Centres. Walmer and Humewood golf courses are within easy access and there are walking and jogging trails in the Baakens Valley.
