Waterkloof Ridge is a mixture of old houses and new, restaurants, houses that were private houses but are now upmarket offices, an old suburb that has been renovated. Waterkloof Ridge can be found in the southern suburbs of Pretoria. It is on the other side of the green belt of the Pretoria Country Club from the old suburb of Waterkloof, with its old straight streets set out at right angles to each other.

Waterkloof Ridge is a well-placed suburb. Just above the suburb and to the west is the Monument Golf Course. The suburb is set between the two highways from Johannesburg to Pretoria, the N1 is just along Rigel Avenue and the R21 to the west. Just a stones throw from Waterkloof Air Force Base, this picturesque suburb is the ideal place to stay when making a visit to the Nations Capital or to one of those bi-annual international airshows.
