The Laughing Forest will restore your energy. The tranquility of the resort combined with the close proximity of the sea lends itself to quiet time and long walks on the beach. The 6 acre property on which the Laughing Forest exists is home to impete buck, birds, monkeys, mongoose and other wildlife. A 10m path across the rail line and admiralty reserve links the property to the beach sand. The Elysium beach is very private and clean.
The accommodation consists of 8 self-catering log cabins which are scattered amongst the indigenous bush. Each cabin sleep 5 or 6 (1 double, 1 single, 1 bunk bed + sleeper couch). Each unit contains a main bedroom, with en-suite bathroom, open plan kitchen and lounge/2nd bedroom, which leads onto a sundeck. All kitchens are fully equipped with fridge, freezer, microwave, mini oven, kettle, toaster, etc. All linen is supplied, please bring your own beach/swimming towels.
The Laughing Forest is also Wedding Venue. Wedding options are numerous, all depending on the weather, (beach / grassed terrace overlooking the sea, etc). Our Reception Hall can cater for up to 200 people and your guests can book into the cabins and either make it into a weekend getaway, or just for the night so they can party and dance the night away and not worry about driving home. When we have a wedding function, we close the resort for the wedding guests.
We also cater for conferences and family gatherings.
