Montanha Lodge in Barra comprises double-storey wood and thatched houses
positioned amongst the tropical coconut palms near the lighthouse in Barra,
Inhambane.
These self-catering houses offer affordable, comfortable and spacious accommodation in privately owned 3 and 4 bedroom houses.
Both houses have 2 bathrooms (one with bath and the other with shower), kitchen, lounge, braai facilities and single carport. The 4 bedroom house has a large patio with outdoor furniture, separate dining and lounge area as well as a bar in the lounge.
Although the lodge is situated only 400 - 500m from Barra beach (steep walk back up the dune), distant sea views are visible from the upper decks only. The lodge is furnished and equipped for self-catering.
The units are serviced daily and have drinkable borehole water, gas and 24 hour electricity. Local vendors visit the lodge daily with a supply of produce and curios of offer - these range from fresh fruits of the sea (prawns, crayfish, fish, and langoustine) as well as freshly baked local bread/rolls and seasonal fruits and vegetables, sarongs and artwork.
