
The Southern Beach House is situated in the tranquil little village of Suiderstrand, in the Agulhas National Park. The village is 5 km from the historic lighthouse, which is at the most southern tip of Africa where the Atlantic and Indian Ocean's meet.
The self catering Flat: (Sleeps up to 5).
There are 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The main bedroom is ensuite with a bath and a shower over the bath. The second bedroom has a double bed and a single bed with a separate bathroom with a shower. All linen is provided but guests TO BRING OWN TOWELS. The kitchenette in the living area has a fridge, microwave, small oven and hot plate plus an inside braai. There are stunning sea views from this living area with a deck that is great for watching the sun set.
The flat is about 250m from the sea which boasts a pebble beach and about 800m to the right is a beautiful turquoise lagoon (Pietie se Punt).
There is plenty to do in the area:
Visit the quaint little restaurant in the Lighthouse. Experience the longest uninterrupted sand beach in the Southern hemisphere at Struisbaai, which also boasts a colorful fisherman's harbour. Chartered boat trips and kayaking are available (bookings at the harbor) This is a nature lover's paradise with seasonal whale watching and many nature trails to choose from. De Mond and De Hoop Nature Reserves are nearby. Other activities in the area include horse riding, surfing, kite surfing, angling, four by four vehicle trips and even bowls.
Experience:
Arniston with its Waenhuiskrans and Kassiesbaai Fishermen's Village. Bredasdorp, which boasts a Shipwreck Museum, and arts and crafts. Elim, the Moravian Missionary Village Indulge in the wine tasting at the wine farms in the area.
Or just relax surrounded by fynboss and fall asleep to the sound of the waves and awaken to the sound of the birds, and just unwind and see where the day takes you.
