The Southern Beach House

The Southern Beach House is situated in the tranquil little village of Suiderstrand, in the Agulhas National Park. The village is 5 km from the historic lighthouse, which is at the most southern tip of Africa where the Atlantic and Indian Ocean's meet.

There are 2 units which can be rented separately or by one large group.

The self catering Flat - upstairs: (Sleeps up to 5).

There are 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The main bedroom is ensuite with a bath and a shower over the bath. The second bedroom has a double bed and a single bed with a separate bathroom with a shower. All linen is provided but guests TO BRING OWN TOWELS. The kitchenette in the living area has a fridge, microwave, small oven and hot plate plus an inside braai. There are stunning sea views from this living area with a deck that is great for watching the sun set.

The flat is about 250m from the sea which boasts a pebble beach and about 800m to the right is a beautiful turquoise lagoon (Pietie se Punt).

The Bachelor Pad - downstairs: (Sleeps 2).

Furnished with a double bed and has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, basin and toilet. Other facilities include a kitchenette equipped with a fridge and a microwave.  There is an outside covered patio and scullery with a little garden and outside braai.

Both units are pet friendly.

On-site facilities include bird-watching, free Wi-Fi, and off-street parking is available. Nearby activities include hiking, horse riding, bird watching, mountain biking, wine tasting, fishing, cycling, and swimming.

Fall asleep listening to the musical waves on the pebble beach, (200 meters away), or have sundowners watching the sun set into the ocean and spend the evening stargazing as there are no street lights in Suiderstrand.

There is plenty to do in the area:

Visit the quaint little restaurant in the Lighthouse. Experience the longest uninterrupted sand beach in the Southern hemisphere at Struisbaai, which also boasts a colorful fisherman's harbour. Chartered boat trips and kayaking are available (bookings at the harbor) This is a nature lover's paradise with seasonal whale watching and many nature trails to choose from. De Mond and De Hoop Nature Reserves are nearby. Other activities in the area include horse riding, surfing, kite surfing, angling, four by four vehicle trips and even bowls.

Experience:

Arniston with its Waenhuiskrans and Kassiesbaai Fishermen's Village. Bredasdorp, which boasts a Shipwreck Museum, and arts and crafts. Elim, the Moravian Missionary Village Indulge in the wine tasting at the wine farms in the area.

Or just relax surrounded by fynboss and fall asleep to the sound of the waves and awaken to the sound of the birds, and just unwind and see where the day takes you.
