Cape Footprints - for a peaceful and restful retreat
Cape Footprints is a modern and spacious self catering house constructed using sandbags. Located conveniently between Knysna and George on South Africa's unique Garden Route, the house offers uninterrupted views of the Indian Ocean where dolphins and whales can be regularly sighted. Kleinkranz beach is a mere 2 minute walk from the house.
The house comfortably sleeps 8 people (3 double and 1 twin room). There are 3 bathrooms with walk-in showers, a very spacious and well equipped kitchen with a cooking island, an indoor braai (bbq) and a living room that overlooks the sea. We also have a lovely ceramic fire pot for chilly evenings. Downstairs is a garage with ample space and most recently, a water-wise indigenous garden has been planted in the front and back.
Cape Footprints is only 20 minutes from George airport with daily flights from Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban. Cape Town is less than 500kms by road. The Garden Route stretches over 200kms from Mossel Bay to Storms River. It enjoys a maritime climate with moderately hot summers and mild to chilly winters. The area offers a multitude of outdoor activities for adults and children - hiking, golfing, canoeing, cycling, paragliding, bungee jumping, elephant park,monkeyland to name but a few. The area also has a number of excellent local markets selling local produce and many different restaurants offering a fine dining experience. The local shop is minutes away by foot.
