Birdsong cottage is a beautiful home from home, comprising 3 en suite bedrooms, comfortably sleeping six people.  We have recently extended this by building a freestanding one-bedroom suite overlooking the forest below effectively making the property either a 3-bedroom or 4-bedroom option. 

We also rent the one-bedroom unit, the perfect honeymoon destination,  as an option for 2 people.

Please note that the base rate listed on this website is for the 6-sleeper main house. Please contact us for any quotations for either the 8-sleeper or the 2-sleeper.

Situated in the private Bergview estate in the picturesque Champagne valley, this cottage is ideally located to allow you to take full advantage of the many local attractions. The view from the wooden deck in the garden encompasses mountains, an indigenous forest and a lake. Bergview Estate is situated within a nature conservancy and on the borders of the world famous UKhahlamba World Heritage site.

Birdsong cottage is equipped with everything you will need to make your break as relaxed as possible, from an inclusive cleaning service to a wall mounted  LCD TV, Limited DSTV bouquet and a dishwasher.  The kitchen is equipped with everything you would need to cook a top quality meal or a simple braai. The kitchen is also equipped with a gashob. 

No. 10 Birdsong Cottage has a solar back up installation which will see you through the Eskom power outages !!

Two covered parking bays are situated next to the cottage.

The cottage is overlooked by no-one and has 180 degree views of pristine Drakensberg terrain. The following facilities are available within walking distance of the cottage.
