Southbroom is a suburb consisting of private homes and therefore never has that busy overcrowded feeling. There are great walks through lanes with beautiful shrubbery and wild flowers.

350m away is a stunning long expanse of pristine uncrowded beach and a little further on is a large kiddies tidal pool, with clean well maintained toilets on the edge of beach. Great surfing and fishing can be found right along the Southbroom coastline, with the main beach (with an adjoining large lagoon) providing life-guard supervision.

On the beach front within Southbroom, you have the choice of two super restaurantsand in the village of Southbroom there are other restaurants, a superette, beauty salons, coffee shop, a post office, bottle store, boutique and furnishing shop, as well as 2 car hire outlets.
