Self Catering Apartment, Flatlet Accommodation in Margate

Superior self-catering holiday apartments situated on the Margate North Blue Flag - "Lucien Beach".
Margate is recognized as a South African Holiday Paradise.

The complex consists of six flats - 3 on the ground level and 3 on the first floor.
All six flats are sea facing with 180 degree sea view. The gate from the lawn leads onto the lifeguard protected 'Lucien' swimming beach.

All apartments comprise three bedrooms, two bathrooms, open plan kitchen, diningroom and lounge, large verandah and sleeps 6 people.

Apartments are fully furnished and equipped, including dishwasher and microwave.
Television is in the lounge with a satellite connection and 'Easy View' channels.
In order to access the full spectrum of Multichoice, tenants should bring their own decoder, 'sim card' and remote, or they can hire from Martin Electronics.

Secure covered parking is available.

Anguna is within easy walking distance of Margate's CBD shopping and restaurants.

There are Daily flights from Johannesburg International to Durban Airport.

The Durban Airport is 2 hour's drive from Anguna.

Anguna is within 30 minutes of several top international quality golf courses. Close proximity also to many other sporting facilities such as fishing, surfing, squash, tennis, bowls and horse riding.
Many attractions: Bird park, crocodile farm, Oribi Gorge, Kiddies Finland, Wild Coast Sun Casino and Microlite flying.
Deep sea fishing and scuba diving at Protea Reef can be arranged with charters from Shelly Beach.

Please Note: NO PETS ALLOWED and No smoking allowed inside the apartment.

Facilities

  • Beach gate leads from lawn to swimming beach - life guard protected
  • Television in lounge. A satellite decoder with "Easyview" is installed. Tenants who want to bring their own decoder, smartcard and remote must contact the supervisor.


Payment

1. The full booking fee, less any deposit(s) already made, is due and must be paid in full 60 days before the planned date of arrival.

2. Bank Details: Account Name - ANGUNA, NEDBANK, Branch code 139728, Account Number: 1379 037 822.

3. Proof of payment should be emailed to bookings@anguna.co.za

4. Failure to pay the rental in full 60 days prior to arrival may result in the flat being let to another party.

5. Sub-letting is strictly prohibited.

6. Flats are let strictly for the number of persons booked. Extra persons including babies will be charged for daily as follows: In Season R 250.00 per person; Out of Season R150.00 per person.

7. The total number of occupants in any one flat may not exceed six (6). This includes children and babies.

8. Keys to the property will NOT be handed over until the rental and breakage deposit is FULLY PAID.


BREAKAGES/ DAMAGES/ SHORTAGES:

1. The ‘breakage deposit’ paid in advance, with the rental, will be refunded into the bank account of the Tenant, (subject to the below) within 14 days of departure.

2. Please provide the Manager with your bank account details for the refund of your breakage deposit.

3. The Manager will check the flat after departure of the occupants.

4. Deductions from the deposit will be made for Breakages/Damage/Shortages/Unpaid Parking Rental and Extra Cleaning (if the property is left in a poor state upon departure).

5. If a breakage occurs, please do not replace the item as replacements are sourced from a single supplier to ensure continuity of the ranges. Please notify the Manager, who will make the necessary arrangements.


Arrival & Departure

1. Check in: Between 15h00 and 18h00

Late arrivals, after 18h00, must be arranged with the Manager, and will be charged at R100.00 per hour.

2. Check out: No later than 10h00 on the day of departure.

3. If new Tenants are expected, then a late departure will result in a penalty charge of R200/R500 per hour or part thereof.

4. Vacating occupants are requested to leave the flat in the same condition that in which it was found.

5. Lock all doors and windows, and switch lights off. Turn down the TV sound.

6. Leave the fridge running. The alarm must be ‘Armed’.


Cancellations

Notice of request to cancel a reservation must be emailed to bookings@anguna.co.za no later than 60 days prior to the planned date of arrival, in which case payment(s) made, less an administration fee, will be refunded.

Cancellation notices not received before the stipulated 60-day period, could result in your deposit being withheld and you being held liable for the cost for the full reserved period.

The Administration fee is not refundable.


General Rules

1. NO PETS are allowed on the premises - no exceptions made.

2. NO SMOKING inside the flats.

3. NO Hubbly Bubbly’s are permitted on the premises. Failure to comply may result in termination of occupancy.

4. Tenants are to respect the privacy and right to enjoyment of the property, of the other occupants of the Premises.

5. NO partying, loud music or unruly behaviour is permitted. Failure to comply may result in termination of occupancy.

6. NO ‘Fireworks’ are allowed on the premises

7. FIRE PROTECTION - The Fire Hoses and Extinguishers are only to be used in the event of a Fire. A Penalty fee of R500 will be charged to anyone using either the Fire Hose or the Extinguisher without appropriate cause.


Housekeeping Notes

1. Beach towels, dishcloths, toilet, and bath requisites are NOT SUPPLIED.

2. Parking: One parking bay is allocated to each flat. Should you require extra parking, this is strictly subject availability, an additional charge, and MUST be arranged prior to arrival. Please park in your allocated parking bay with consideration for others.

3. Water: Due to frequent water supply interruptions from UGU municipality, the Flats are connected to our harvested rainwater. This water is NOT recommended for drinking.

4. Visitors of the occupants may visit no longer than 4 hours on any day. They are required to park their cars outside the premises.

5. Flats are not serviced. A mini service, comprising sweeping, making beds, cleaning the bathrooms and pots and pans can be arranged as required, subject to the availability of staff and at an additional charge.

6. Television - Do NOT turn the TV off - simply turn the sound down when not watching or when retiring. There is a lot of moisture in the air and when turned OFF, the condensation may cause a problem.

7. Inventories must be checked and confirmed with the Manager within 24 hours of arrival.

8. A Satellite Decoder is installed in all flats with the ‘EasyView’ option. Tenants may bring their own Decoder Smartcard and Remote, in which case the Manager should be informed. You will be allowed to disconnect our decoder and use our connections. You are required to complete the connection with Multichoice at your own cost. Before departure, you must reconnect our decoder with the ‘EasyView’ option.
