The Setting:

Moon Shine encompasses 14 hectares of unspoiled indigenous forest. With great respect to the environment a small and enchanting venue has been created for you to appreciate all the natural splendours. Experience the forest from the comfort of your stunningly hand crafted wooden cabin nestled among the trees.

The Cabins:

"Firefly" & "Bushpig"

Perfect for 2 adults. "Firefly" and / or "Bushpig" cabins are open plan (with exception of the bathroom of course). There is a queen size bed, fireplace in the living area, and kitchenette with small fridge & stove. Both the living and sleeping areas have French doors opening onto an elevated and private deck. At a squeeze 1 small kid can be accommodated on an additional mattress on the floor. "Bushpig" has a flat screen TV with select DSTV channels. Free Wi-Fi is available at the Internet & Info Zone from 7:00 to 21:00.

"Tree Frog"

With easy access via a wooden walkway "Tree Frog" is elevated high amongst the trees offering magical views of the forest and its creatures. There is a bedroom with queen size bed downstairs, and an enticing loft sleeping area upstairs with 4 single beds. The kitchen and living area are open plan and there is a lovely open fireplace. French doors open onto the deck. Free Wi-Fi is available at the Internet & Info Zone from 7:00 to 21:00.

"Vervet"

A spacious 2 bedroom cabin, Vervet is special in many ways. Most notably is the superbly mosaic "shower tower" - reason enough to check-in to this cabin. Both the main bedroom and the lounge open onto the large, private deck. The second bedroom sleeps 4 on 2 generously proportioned sets of bunk beds. The living area is open plan to the kitchen with a fireplace in the lounge. "Vervet" has a flat screen TV with select DSTV channels. Free Wi-Fi is available at the Internet & Info Zone from 7:00 to 21:00.

"Butterfly" Garden Cottage

A fully restored farm cottage. Brightly coloured and creatively decorated. Enjoy the beautiful views from the wide verandah. Experience the unique shower tower finished in mosaic. There are 2 inter-leading bedrooms, one with queen size bed and the other with one single and one bunk bed, sleeping 5 people in total. Butterfly has a flat screen TV with select DSTV channels & free Wi-Fi.

"Fly Me to The Moon"

Kick off your heels and walk down a 50 meter foot path from where you park your car. Hidden in the forest canopy you will find a unique romantic hide-away.  Lots of light, with bold colours and small details, the cabin has everything 2 people might need to escape the crazy world for a while. That means no TV or cell phone reception. Instead you will find a Queen size tent-like bed with drop away sash window;  a private mosaic and glass shower with a view on the deck and an en suite bathroom with toilet & basin. There is a cosy fire place inside & braai area outside. There is a kitchenette with undercounter fridge, 2 plate stove with small oven, and it is fully equipped with crockery, cooking utensils, cutlery and all you need for self catering. A very private space, beautifully hand crafted with a creative twist. Free Wi-Fi is available at the Internet & Info Zone from 7:00 to 21:00.

The Lazy Days at Moon Shine:

A fabulous swimming pool close to the cabins. Hike from your cabin through the forest to a secluded mountain pool. An imaginative playground for young & young at heart, birds, monkeys.
All guests have access to free Wi-Fi at the beautifully situated Internet and Info Zone which is open from 7:00 to 21:00 daily.

Plettenberg Bay Airport - 25 km away

Enter Moon Shine directly off the N2. When travelling from Plett towards Tsitsikamma you will see our sign 8 kms after the Keurbooms River bridge, turn left. When travelling from Tsitsikamma towards Plett we are 5 kms past the shop at The Crags, turn right.

The Bottom Line:

All units are fully equipped for self catering, bring only what you need to eat and drink and beach towels. Select units have flat screen TV's with DSTV channels Free Wi-Fi at Butterfly Garden Cottage All units have their own fireplaces, braai facilities and parking. Smoking is restricted to outdoors; cigarette butts on the ground are considered litter. Whilst we have no restaurant on the premises we do offer a small menu of pre cooked frozen meals and breakfast items. These are delivered to your cabin for you to heat and enjoy.
