Wooden walkways lead to the three separate and spacious air-conditioned Mountain View Suites, positioned for privacy and dramatic Mountain views. At dusk, a sundowner can be enjoyed on your private deck while being entranced by the ever changing colours of the sky and mood of the Magnificent Mountain as the sun slips into the time slot of tomorrow.

Two Luxury Guest rooms (King and Queen beds) are situated next to each other at the main house with private entrances, air-conditioning and views of the lush bush. The rooms and suites have been designed to embody the mountain and the decor echoes the simple tranquillity only nature can offer.

A scrumptious breakfast is served at the Main house on the patio where you can feast on both the food and the breathtaking view. umVangati House's impressive walk-in domed wine cellar, is available for romantic private dinners on request.

Where does the name umVangati come from? umVangati is the Swazi-name for the Kiaat tree ( Pterocarpus angolensis). Kiaat timber was used throughout the house and suites by the owner who meticulously made all the doors, cupboards, kitchen, vanities and furniture for the rooms. There are beautiful Kiaat trees found on the property.

Mountain View Suite 1

The 77 m2 suite has superb uninterrupted views of the Majestic Mountains, the lush indigenous bush, as well as the waterhole that is frequented by wildlife.

Suite 1 offers an extra length king size bed, en-suite bathroom with corner bath, dual vanity, walk-in shower and luxury bathroom amenities. The suite comes with fine Percale linen, business desks, free Wi-Fi and telephone to ensure you have a comfortable stay. For your entertainment, HD Dstv, tea and coffee nook and mini bar have been added to the suite. With private wooden viewing deck, the room is an air-conditioned and non-smoking space.

Mountain View Suite 2

The 77 m2 suite has superb uninterrupted views of the Majestic Mountains, the lush indigenous bush, as well as the waterhole that is frequented by wildlife.

Suite 2 has an extra length king size bed with corner bath, his and hers basins, walk-in shower and luxury bathroom amenities in the en-suite bathroom. The suite comes with fine Percale linen, business desk, free Wi-Fi and telephone to ensure you have a comfortable stay. For your entertainment, HD Dstv, mini bar, tea and coffee nook have been added to the suite. Sliding doors open onto the private wooden viewing deck. The room is an air-conditioned and non-smoking space.

Mountain View Suite 3

The 77 m2 suite has superb uninterrupted views of the Majestic Mountains, the lush indigenous bush, as well as the waterhole that is frequented by wildlife.

Suite 3 has air-conditioning, percale linen on the extra length king size bed with en-suite bathroom featuring corner bath, dual vanity, walk-in shower and luxury bathroom amenities. For connectivity and entertainment, there is a telephone, business desk, free Wi-Fi, HD Dstv, mini-bar and tea and coffee nook. Relaxing on the private wooden deck gives a sense of a closer connection with nature and the magnificent surrounding environment. This room is a non-smoking room.

Luxury King Guest Room

This luxury room comes with a private entrance from the wooden walkway, and is situated next to luxury guest room 2. These suites have views of the indigenous bush. This 30 m2 room comes with an extra length king size bed, fine percale linen, and en-suite bathroom with single vanity, bath and walk-in shower. The unit also has luxury bathroom amenities, HD DSTv and business desk. To ensure you have a comfortable stay, free Wi-Fi, telephone, mini bar and coffee station are included. This is a non-smoking room.

Luxury Queen Guest Room:

This luxury room, with a private entrance from the wooden walkway is situated next to luxury guest room 1 of the main house. These suites have views of the indigenous bush.

The26 m2 luxury guest room comes with a queen size bed, en-suite bathroom with single vanity, walk-in shower and luxury bathroom amenities. This unit has fine percale linen, business desk, free Wi-Fi and telephone. For your entertainment, we have added HD Dstv and a mini bar to the room. This is a non-smoking room.

umVangati House is perfectly situated in a beautiful setting close to numerous attractions like the fascinating Kruger National Park, the spectacular Panorama Route as well as interesting animal rehabilitation centres like Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre and Moholoholo Rehabilitation Centre. Elephant Back safari's is nearby or you can lift off in a Hot-air Balloon.
The Blyde dam is on our doorstep. Blyde Adventure centre will cater for all the needs of the adrenalin junkies.

Guests can make the most of the host of activities that the lowveld has to offer, or simply escape to soak up the mountain air at umVangati House.

Stargazing at umVangati House is phenomenal .How better to end a blissful day in Africa, but to sit reflecting under the star studded-canopy of African skies, the vastness of infinite galaxies stretching before one. The nourishing silences of nature will restore your heart and feed your soul.

You are a guest at this reserve and premises at your own risk. All damages and/or injuries of whatsoever nature caused by whatsoever circumstances to your assets or person, shall be your own liability. All guests will therefore be requested to sign an indemnity form.

All guests will be required to settle their accounts for extras, telephone calls, beverages, laundry, etc. on departure. This can be done by credit card or local currency notes.
