Mein Heim Estate Guest Farm

Mein Heim is a beautiful farm only 15 minutes drive from Kimberley city centre. Get away from the city and experience the tranquillity of nature.

While staying at Mein Heim Estate, guests can enjoy a self drive game drive or take a hike to Bushman Koppie and view the historic Bushmen rock drawings. This self catering accommodation in the Kimberley area also offers pony rides for the children, as well as a trampoline, games room and swimming pool to keep them entertained for hours.

There are four fully equipped units of various sizes. Pets are also welcome by prior arrangement.

Accommodation

Each of our units has TV, with DSTV Hotel bouquet. Each unit also has air conditioning and electric blankets on the beds for our cold winter nights. Bath towels are provided. Please bring your own swimming towels.

The units each have a hospitality tray, with tea, coffee, milk and sugar. Each kitchen has a kettle, toaster, electric frying pan and microwave. All necessary cutlery and crockery are provided. Salt and pepper and barbecue spice is provided, as well as dishcloths and dishwashing soap.

Unit 1: Sleeps 4 people

Consists of two bedrooms. The main bedroom has a queen size bed, with a sitting area. The second bedroom, which has two single beds, is separated from the main bedroom by the kitchenette. There is a full bathroom, with bath and shower, off the main bedroom.

Unit 2: Sleeps 5 people

Also consists of two bedrooms, one having queen bed and the other has 3 single beds. There is also a sleeper couch, which can sleep a child. There is also a kitchenette, with a small bar fridge. The bathroom has only a shower.

Unit 3: Sleeps 2 people

Unit 3 is a bachelor flat, with twin beds (or king size bed). There is also a sleeper couch, which can sleep a child. There is a kitchenette with a small bar fridge. The bathroom has a shower only.

Unit 4: Sleeps 9 people

This is a 3 bedroomed unit, which has a double or queen bed and single bed in each room. There is a separate lounge area, where the TV is situated. The kitchen is large, with full stove and large refrigerator and deep freeze. There is a full bathroom, with bath and shower.

Activities

Mein Heim is a small farm, covering 470 hectares. In our main camp we have a variety of small game - we have gemsbuck, copper and normal springbuck and blesbuck. Guests are welcome to take a drive through the veld and view game. We have two mountain bikes for hire.

If you should feel like a hike, Bushman Koppie is about 1.5km from the homestead, where some of the oldest bushmen paintings of the area can be seen.
At the homestead itself we have a swimming pool, trampoline and a games room, with pool, table tennis and darts. We have a variety of board games available, and many books to read. There are large shady lawns.

Because we are an active Equestrian Centre, guests can walk through the stables and paddocks and say hello to our many ponies and horses. We offer pony rides for children. Booking for these are essential.

Kimberley itself has numerous tourist attractions - the Big Hole and Mc Gregor museum, to name but two.
