Sea Notes ... enjoy the music of the sea

In the quiet seaside village of Seaview, a short distance from Port Elizabeth and right next to the sea, without even a road to cross, lies Sea Notes.

Sea Notes offers a variety of self catering accommodation in one private cottage and two self-contained apartments. This makes it ideal for individuals, couples or family groups. All offer privacy with their own entrances and either have, or have access to, the fabulous, uninterrupted views of the ever changing Indian Ocean which make the area so sought after as a holiday destination.

Sea Notes is child friendly to simplify your holiday.

The Seaview area is renowned for its sweeping sea vistas, its tidal pools which are safe to swim in and its fishing, diving and snorkeling opportunities, as well as its scenic walking trails.

Seaview is also home to its own pod of whales from about June to the end of the year, as well as the dolphins who can be seen at any time. Excellent sightings of the whales occur quite often as they come close inshore.

• Not far away from the village are two game parks, nature reserves and the attractions of the Port Elizabeth metropolis.
• Sea Notes is close to three restaurants, a Kwik Spar, a bottle store, a pharmacy and a laundry, all within the village.
• Internet facilities are available, if required.

Seaweed Cottage

Standing on its own in the garden, with its own private entrance, is Seaweed self catering cottage.

It comprises a pleasant and airy, open plan living, dining and kitchen area and two en suite bedrooms with their own sea views. The main bedroom has a queen size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower, toilet and hand basin. The second room has twin beds (or King size bed optional) and an en-suite bathroom with a bath, shower, toilet and hand basin.

The kitchen comes fully equipped with a 4 plate stove, oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and all necessary amenities.

There is also a built in braai (barbeque) facilities in the garden for the exclusive use of Seaweed's cottage guests.

But the greatest delight of this cottage is the shady (south facing) verandah which runs the length of the cottage. It commands glorious, uninterrupted views of the sea and is the perfect place to read a book, watch for the whales and dolphins or just to relax and watch the changing moods of the ocean.

TV with satellite channels is available as well as its own alarm system for the peace of mind of visitors from places where alarms are de rigeur!

Pebbles Studio Apartment

Pebbles is a fully equipped self catering apartment for one or two persons with its own private entrance. It does not enjoy a direct sea view but is only a few short steps from both the garden and a large wooden deck, both of which command magnificent views out over the sea.

There is one bedroom with a queen size bed and an en suite bathroom. This bathroom comes with a shower, a toilet and a hand basin. Apart from the bathroom, the rest of the apartment is of open plan design but the bedroom can be curtained off for extra atmosphere.

Next to the bedroom is an open plan sitting room with a fully equipped kitchenette. The kitchenette has a 2 plate stove and oven, a microwave, a fridge and all the other odds and ends you might need.


Oyster Apartment

Oyster Apartment overlooks the sea with its own private entrance from the deck. The apartment can sleep one to two guests comfortably.

It has a large bedroom with a queen size bed and an en suite bathroom with a shower, a toilet and a hand basin. 
Oyster apartment has a sunroom overlooking the sea. French sliding doors open from this room directly on to the spacious wooden deck on which guests can sit and watch the Indian Ocean, the sea birds, the whales (during their visiting season). There are even otters who sport around the fresh water pools fed by the spring at the bottom of the garden.

Oyster apartment has limited self-catering facilities in a small kitchenette equipped with a microwave, two plate stove and oven, a fridge, a kettle and a toaster as well as cutlery and crockery etc.

• KRAGGA KAMMA GAME PARK
  
  Kragga Kamma Game Park is home to large herds of African wildlife roaming freely in spectacular natural surroundings. Traveling along well maintained roads, visitors are likely to see White Rhino, Buffalo, Giraffe, Cheetah, Zebra, Bontebok, Nyala and Lechwe, to mention just a few. You can enjoy a self-drive option or book a 2 hour guided tour with a professional guide in an open Landrover.
   
• ADDO ELEPHANT NATIONAL PARK
  
  Enjoy a memorable day-trip to the Addo Elephant National Park where, in addition to large herds of magnificent elephants the park was created to protect, you are likely to see a vast number of different bird species, Cape buffalo, hyenas, antelope, zebras, warthogs, gemsbok, bushbuck, rhino and more, depending on which part of this vast reserve you are exploring. Lions and hyenas were introduced into the park in 2003 to restore the natural balance in the park’s ecosystem, and leopards are also park residents, although they tend to be elusive.
