Enjoy chilling in the pool, listen to the cry of the African Fish Eagle and at night hear the hippos snorting in the nearby Crocodile River or listen to the roar of the lion while sitting around the fire. Impala Place and Cottage are ideally situated for day trips to the game-rich southern areas of the Kruger National Park situated just across the river, a 30-minute drive away.

An afternoon drive along the Crocodile River will likely afford you the sight of elephants, grazing in the reeds or buffalo coming down to the river to drink. Sightings of lions are also not uncommon, and waterbuck are almost guaranteed. Then back for a braai under the stars. 

Marloth Park is a bird watcher's paradise – more than 300 bird species have been identified in the area to date.

Both Impala Place and Cottage have satellite dishes – please bring your decoder along as not providing DSTV allows us to keep our rates in check. All bedrooms have air conditioners. 

A four-hour drive from Johannesburg, or a one-hour drive from the Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport with Maputo and Eswatini an hours' drive from Marloth Park Impala is ideally situated to explore the lovely Lowveld.

Impala Place Facilities:

Four spacious bedrooms with double beds, 3 bedrooms have ensuite facilities and one stand-alone bathroom. A large enclosed, air-conditioned veranda (can be partitioned if required) has four single beds. Excellently appointed kitchen, including microwave and eye-level oven. Comfortable, air-conditioned living areas. Ceiling fans in all bedrooms. Braai area. Extensive outdoor living areas. Under-cover parking for two vehicles. All linen, towels etc. Fully serviced by domestic assistant. Swimming pool. Television with Openview decoder. Satellite dish DSTV PV ready. Please bring your own decoder.

Impala Cottage Facilities:

2 spacious bedrooms with king-size beds (second bedroom can also be set up as two single beds), both with ensuite bathrooms. Both bedrooms are airconditioned. Excellently appointed kitchen, including microwave and gas hob and electric oven. Braai area. Undercover parking for one vehicle. All linen, towels etc. Fully serviced by domestic assistant. Swimming pool. Television with Openview decoder. Satellite dish DSTV ready. Please bring your own decoder.

Facilities in Marloth Park:

Large swimming pool. Tennis courts. Filling station. Mini supermarkets and liquor stores for basics. Restaurants and bars. Game drives and fishing trips can be arranged by Louise at the Information Centre.

Facilities, activities and attractions in the area:

Golf at Malelane Golf Club and Kambaku in Komatipoort (both 9 holes). Game drives, as well as night drives, in the Kruger National Park. Tiger fishing at Komatipoort. Samora Machel Memorial and Museum.

Included in the rates:

Linen and towels. Daily servicing. Crockery and cutlery.

Not included in the rates:

Toiletries. Firewood. Washing and ironing of laundry (can however be arranged with live-in domestic assistant). Food and drinks. DSTV.
