Matt’s Rest B&B opened its doors in 2012, and is owned and run by Grant and Rita Urquhart. You can look forward to a warm welcome & superb hospitality, which will make your stay with us comfortable and memorable.

Matt’s Rest has attracted and hosted many business and leisure guests from South Africa and aboard, accommodating up to 30 guests choosing from Bed and Breakfast or Self Catering apartments, all with their own private entrances and ample off road secure parking is available.

All of our rooms are equipped with air-conditioners, heaters, tea & coffee making facilities, bar fridges, DSTV hotel boutique & microwave on request, providing the perfect balance between corporate and leisure accommodation.

We are ideally centrally situated, with close access to the N3 Mkondeni Industrial area, with all its industrial parks. Indoor Action Sports Arena. Oribi Airport, UKZN, shopping malls like Cascades Centre, Mountain Bike Park & Trails, Liberty Mall, Royal Show Grounds, Pietermaritzburg CBD, schools, hospitals and Victoria Office Park. Our location is ideal for business travellers, leisure and sports enthusiasts for both short and long terms stays.
