Albion Manor has 21 rooms in total of which 19 rooms have king size beds that can be converted to 38 single beds and 2 rooms have double beds. All of the rooms have ensuite bathrooms (shower and toilet) .

Florida Road, 5 minutes walk away, is one of Durban’s prime hotspots, with pavement cafes and restaurants, a handful of trendy stores and a healthy selection of bars and clubs. This area buzzes with activity from morning ‘till night and luckily for you, Albion Manor is a stone’s throw away so you don’t have to go far.

Mitchell Park, a few steps across the road, is one of the finest parks in South Africa, steeped in history with its conception taking place in 1894. Visited by Britain’s King George VI, Queen Elizabeth and the two princesses, Elizabeth & Margaret in 1947, you’ll quickly realise why they fell in love with this little piece of paradise. With a zoo, decent children’s playground, stunning flower gardens and a super café/restaurant, this is somewhere you’ll want to spend a few hours. Whether picnicing on the lush green grass, under the shade of one of the ancient trees or winding your way around the intimate zoo, you’ll find the atmosphere warm, relaxing and restful.

uShaka Marine World, based at the end of the Golden Mile, 10 minutes away, is the largest ocean park in Africa, boasting fresh and sea water attractions from shipwrecks to an huge, exciting aquarium, a dolphinarium, water slides and pools, a massive jungle gym area for the little ones, amusement parks, adventure sports, fine dining and shopping. Imagine enjoying a wonderful restaurant meal, in a shipwreck looking into a vast shark tank. It’s got be seen to be believed.

Watersports - This is Durban; home to excellent waves, outstanding sailing and fishing, super diving and much more. Take a boat trip around the harbour or across the bay to the Moses Mabida stadium. Learn to surf, body-board, paddle-board, kayak or kite-surf. Take a diving course or simply laze on the beach, soaking up the sun, take a dip in the warm Indian ocean or enjoy a meal and/or cocktails while watching the local surfers demonstrate their world-class skills.

The Golden Mile - Hire a bicycle or choose another interesting form of transport, like a Rickshaw, go-cart, tandem-bike, longboard skateboard, and cruise your way from one end of the golden mile to the other. There’s plenty to see and do on the way with many restaurants, bars, cafes and other attractions lining your path. You’ll also note the strong police and life-guard presence, ensuring everyone is safe.

Fine Dining - Catering to all tastes and with many influences, Durban has a truly wonderful selection of excellent restaurants. From outstanding Indian food to traditional South African fare, through to continental dishes you’ll find the some of the best steaks, curries, fine dining and international food in the country. And as for the wines, well, this is South Africa after all, a world renowned wine producer, so you can guarantee that you’ll be able to quaff some superb vintages.

Live Music – There’s always something going on when it comes to quality live music in Durban. Whether it’s jazz at the University’s Jazz Centre on a Wednesday, Reggae at uShaka on a Sunday or other genres playing at one or more of the many restaurants throughout the city, you’ll marvel at how many talented musicians there are in this city.

Markets - There are several outdoor markets running regularly in the city and suburbs. Whether at Essenwood Park on a Saturday morning, the Stables on a Friday evening or Sunday day or at the Moses Mabida stadium once a month, you’ll find arts and crafts, delicious foods, clothing and all manner of things, as well as lots of fun stuff for the kids. How about trying your hands at a traditional African Drum circle, on a Sunday evening at ‘The Stables’ market – now that’s one stress-busting, hand-blisteringly good session and easily one the finest public drum circles in Africa.

Gateway Theatre of Shopping - Situated 15 minutes drive away, Gateway is regarded as the largest shopping centre in the southern hemisphere, here you’ll find excellent shopping, a great array of entertainment facilities, including 'D-Rex', the only double break wave pool in the world, a huge Tony Hawk designed skateboard park, as well as a climbing wall, cinemas, fabulous restaurants, bars and cafes and so much more.

Umgeni Bird Park - Set on the Northern banks of the Umgeni River just 10 minutes from Albion Manor is the Umgeni Bird Park with a huge collection of both indigenous and exotic birds.

Windsor Golf Course - A 10 minute drive from Albion Manor lies Windsor Golf Course. A municipal course, it offers golfers a fair challenge on one of the busiest municipal golf courses in South Africa. Visitors are welcome and green fees are incredibly reasonable.

Kings Park Olympic Swimming Complex - This complex offers two pools, an indoor Olympic sized main pool and an outdoor second diving / water polo pool. Both are heated and thus ideal for those who need their daily swimming exercise.

ABSA Park Rugby Stadium - The home of Natal Rugby and the ever popular Natal Sharks, ABSA Park is a short drive and transport can be arranged for Super 14, Currie Cup and Rugby Internationals.

Moses Mabida Stadium - The stadium has a seating capacity for 70 000 people with arches 100 metres high, covering 320 x 280 square metres. With it’s adjoining People’s Park, which houses a large, modern playground and a massive, super smooth paved area perfect for bikes, skates of all kinds and pedal-carts as well as a comfortable café/restaurant, there is lots on offer. For some of the best views of Durban, take the sky car to the top of the stadium and, if you're into extreme sports, try a stadium bungy jump.
