Gone Fishin'

Gone Fishin is situated in picturesque Salt Rock – with its beautiful views of the sea, this is the perfect spot for a relaxing beach holiday. The property has a large garden, one back from the sea, and with the elevation has the most stunning sea views – it overlooks Tiffany’s Reef which is a popular spot for both surfers and spearfishermen.

The property consists of a main house and a separate flatlet – these can be booked individually or together.

In the garden there is a large swimming pool which is yours to enjoy – it is ideal if the beach gets too windy, or if you want a late night dip ! With the temperate climate of the Dolphin Coast you are able to swim all the year round. The sea view from the pool is also amazing ! A large variety of birds can be found in the garden.

The flatlet is self contained and is ideal for a couple - with a queen size bed (twin beds can be arranged if requested), bathroom and kitchenette. The kitchenette has a fridge, microwave, and induction plate cooker and is fully equipped with crockery and cutlery. There is a TV with a full DSTV package. One can sit on the private patio and enjoy the sea view – a braai unit is also supplied.

The main house has a large open plan lounge, diningroom and kitchen. The big picture windows in the lounge give you a spectacular sea view. It has two large bedrooms, both ensuite. The main bedroom has a kingsize bed, and full bathroom. The second bedroom has four single beds and a shower en suite.

From the large patio one can enjoy watching the waves, while keeping an eye out for the dolphins for which this coastline is famous. One can even do some whale-spotting in the season !

The property is just a minute’s walk onto the sand of a long unspoilt beach, just north of the well-known Salt Rock hotel.

Granny’s pool is close by, and is the perfect spot for little ones to swim, and explore the surrounding rock pools – the well- known Salt Rock Hotel tidal pools are also within easy walking distance.

The property, which is fully fenced with an electric gate, affords you safe parking.

Salt Rock is a quiet holiday and residential area away from the hurley burley of Ballito. Within walking distance are a few restaurants offering a different selection of foods. There are a couple of shopping centres within a close drive from the house. Mt Richmore has a Checkers, Clicks and Woolworths Food, together with a large selection of restaurants. It also has a laundromat, and other shops. Tiffany’s Shopping Centre has a Super Spar and a doctor, dentist, hairdresser and more shops and restaurants.
