Asher Riverside Cottage

Asher Riverside Cottages offers the perfect location for a relaxing family farm break-away or holiday. Asher Riverside Cottages have 4 private self-catering cottages beautifully situated amongst the vineyards on the bank of the Breede River overlooking the Langeberg Mountains.

All 4 cottages offer a big stoep with braai facilities and magnificent views of the Breede River and the Langeberg mountains. A lounge with fireplace & TV, fully equipped kitchen, 2 bathrooms (1 with shower only and 1 with bath and shower) 2 bedrooms with queen bed in each. And open loft with 4 single beds. Sleeps 8. Linen and bath towels provided.

For the fisher man there are a variety of fish in the river including 2 specimens of carp & 2 specimens of bass. Swimming in the river is allowed. Each cottage has a canoe. From the cottage it's possible to paddle about 1.5km in both directions, a lazy voyage taking in rich birdlife

The cottages are on a working wine farm and you are welcome to join Dickter on his routine visits to the sheep farm about 3km away for a farm tour. There are lambs in season and a whole different bird life including the Blue Crane. From the sheep farm you have access to a different part of the river with outlook on the waterfall.
