Palapye Hotel

Palapye Hotel is one of the oldest hotels in Botswana, and is situated at Palapye Railway Station.

We have 20 double rooms, seven of which are Motel type, with TV, Air conditioners and parking directly outside. Two of these accommodate residents who stay with us on a monthly basis. The other rooms are in the older part of the Hotel. All rooms have bathrooms or showers en suite, and those in the older part have been newly tiled.

We have a busy public bar and Charlie's Arms Cocktail bar with its collection of historic old photographs of the area.

Nearby attractions include Old Palapye with its Historic church ruins and graves, Moremi Gorge with its waterfall and pool, and Khama Rhino Sanctuary.

From Linda Wray USA: "We stayed one night in May, 2013 and really enjoyed it. The grounds are lovely, and the proprietors and staff were extremely friendly and gracious. They went out of their way to draw a map so we could find Old Palapye (which was fascinating) the next morning. Jock, the chubby resident dog, was very sociable too! Rooms are pleasantly tatty and clean. The breakfast room is cheery, and the bar is decorated with interesting old photos of the hotel and town. There isn't much else in Palapye, but we were glad to find this place." 06-06-2013
