La Barunè Game Lodge

La Barunè Game lodge is situated in Kamonande Nature Reserve, a game paradise of 2100 hectare with 60 km road on the farm for game viewing and cycling! We are less than two hour's drive from Pretoria, and 8 km from Vaalwater in the malaria free Waterberg mountains.

This is a place of rare and rugged beauty, with versatile wildlife. The setting is spectacular with beautiful mountains and bush scenery. Crystal-clear streams have carved the scenic topography of the Waterberg mountain wilderness. 60 km roads invites guests to beautiful drives in pursuit of the animals that roam freely on the lodge.

This conventional safari style lodge showcases a luxurious hideaway, a haven for those seeking a quality wildlife getaway. The Lodge offers plush accommodation with romantic and spacious bedrooms, each with a king sized bed, and en-suite bathrooms which includes a large vanity, bath and shower.

La Barunè Game Lodge offers an outdoor pool. A variety of popular activities are available on the nature reserve, including cycling, fishing, tennis and hiking.

A daily continental breakfast is offered with a delicious 2-course.

The establishment is private, family-friendly, and is also available as a self-catering lodge to be booked as a whole – for just you and your travelling party’s exclusive use up to 12 guests.

In addition to the wildlife roaming freely around La Barune game Lodge, we also offer the BIG 5 experience at neighbouring Game Reserve - Elephant, rhino, lion, buffalo and leopard - can be spotted.

A game drive can be arranged, together with a personal accredited and experienced game ranger. It’s not uncommon to see lion or elephant just a stone’s throw from the game-viewing vehicle as they go through their early morning routines.
