KwaThabisile Game Lodge offers self catering accommodation in the Leeuwkloof Valley Conservancy in the Dinokeng area, north of Pretoria, Gauteng.

Accommodation
The Italian Prisoners' of War originally built the old Thabisile farmhouse. It has since been converted into 3 self-catering units, 2 of which can be interlinked. Though it is mainly for self-catering, if you would like meals to be included we can pre-arrange a package for you, menu, picnic, or braai.
There are 7 units (11 rooms in total) where we can accommodate up to 45 people comfortably, depending on the configuration of the group. We have also combined groups of 65 people, accommodating them at 2 different venues. We are able to seat 65 people in the boma and conference venue for meals and training sessions.
Wonderful for couples, friends and families. This is an ideal venue for family/friend get-togethers, Team building with a conference facility (30 U-shape, 60 people max).
Antelope: unit has 2 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms (each with 3x single / 1 king & 1x single). Fully equipped kitchenette open plans to lounge, dinning and large veranda overlooking valley, and dam and with sunset views. PRIVATE, however has inter-leading double door to the Bushbaby unit.
Bushbaby: unit has 2 bedrooms, with en-suite bathrooms (each with 3x single / 1 king & 1x single). Fully equipped kitchenette open plan to lounge, dinning room and veranda. Has a large boma with view of the valley and sunset. Has immediate access to swimming pool.
Chameleon: unit has 2 bedrooms (each with 2x single / 1 king) with 1 bathroom sharing. Fully equipped kitchenette, open plan to lounge, dinning room and veranda. View of gardens and bush.
Duiker: unit is an open plan bedroom (2 double beds), lounge, and dinning area. There is a separate but fully equipped kitchenette and a separate bathroom with shower and bath. This unit has a view into the bush from the bed itself.
Eland: unit has upstairs with 2 bedrooms and bathroom sharing (each with 2x single or 1 king bed) with views into the bush with balcony overlooking swimming pool and sunset view. Downstairs has a large fully kitchen with dinning area and lounge with veranda.
Flycatcher: unit is an open plan area with 2 double beds, fully equipped kitchenette, dinning area and Lounge. Unit has a separate bathroom with shower.
Giraffe: This is the original barn that has been converted into a cozy but stylish open plan unit. The unit has 3x single beds or 1 king & 1 single bed including an en-suite bathroom, a fully equipped kitchenette, lounge and dinning room area. The verandah overlooks the giant Monkey Thorn tree, gardens and swimming pool. The private braai facilities, paraffin lamps, torches and open fireplace provide a feeling of complete peace when you need it most.
Communal Area
Swimming pool, deck chairs, and umbrellas', fabulous views overlooking the valley, and into the bush with great sunset views. Versatile function room with DSTV, games (Ping Pong table, rumicub, crocket, Swing ball, frisbee, backgammon, cards, pellet rifle) and mini-library.
Boma: for group booking is ideal for evening get-togethers around the fire.

Fans, heaters, bath towel, hand towel, paraffin torches, paraffin lamps, matches, fire and wood (wood is charge upon the end of your stay)

Activities:
Game Drives: (to be pre-arranged) For game drives, mountain biking, walking and hiking trails, horse riding, bird watching, fishing, identifying trees, shrubs and insects, cross bow hunting & we also organize tuition for painting, drawing and sculpture. Please enquire if interested.
Game: Our game includes: Over 240 grazers: Kudu, zebra, blesbuck, impala, wildebeest, eland, waterbuck, duiker, steenbok. Warthog, porcupine, jackals, caracal, mongoose, vervet monkeys, bush baby, baboon, reptiles, snakes, frogs, and tortoises. One can also see 200 species of birds sighted in our area.
Off-Site Activities: Horse riding, 4x4 trail, fishing, canoeing, game drives, spas, Cullinan village founded in 1903, Roodeplaat dam, Mandela village, Ndebele village as well as other cultural experiences or places and activities of interest.

Swimming costume, hat, sunscreen, charcoal, fire lighters, binoculars, camera, walking shoes, bird book, hot & cool clothes. ±4 degrees warmer than JHB and mosquito repellent.
