About Beachhaven House

Welcome to Beachhaven a three-bedroom self-catering house located on the magnificent golf estate, Prince’s Grant.

The house is equipped with an automatic inverter and solar system that powers most lights and appliances in the house. 

Comfortably accommodating 6 people, has WIFI, air-conditioned bedrooms and a private plunge pool.

It also has sparkling ocean views from almost every room and is a few minutes’ stroll to miles of unspoiled beaches.

Prince’s Grant is a secure estate is located on the Dolphin coast overlooking the Indian Ocean just 45 minutes north of Durban and 25 minutes from the airport.

Please note: Air-cons and the stove cannot be powered during blackouts. However, most other appliances including ceiling fans and standing fans will operate. We also have a two-plate gas hob and charcoal braai as an alternative to the electric stove during load-shedding.

Ground floor:

Entrance hall with concealed pool table, cues, balls etc; Car ports and parking for 2 motors.

First Floor Bedrooms:

Master bedroom: Queen size bed & air-conditioning

Double bedroom: Queen size bed & air-conditioning

Twin bedroom: Two singles & air-conditioning.

Quality white linens provided.

Bathrooms:

Master bedroom ensuite with walk-in shower

Family bathroom with walk-in shower and separate large size bath.

Guest restroom/washroom located between first and second floor.

White towels and bathroom amenities provided. Hairdryers available.
Beach towels also provided.

Second Floor Living Area:

Living area: Open plan L-shape kitchen, dining and lounge area with wonderful sea views.

Kitchen: Fully equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, iron, microwave, electric hob, oven, Nespresso coffee machine. Two plate gas hob and kettle provided for load-shedding.

Dining table and chairs for six.

Lounge: Two sofas and three cushioned seats. TV with Compact DStv available along with large selection of DVDs. WIFI provided and landline telephone.

Outdoor Terrace:

Private plunge pool.

Pool loungers x 2 and side table.

Dining table and chairs for six.

Charcoal braai (please bring coals).

Terrace lighting & pool light for evening entertaining and dining.

Wooden deck with sea views for sundowners, yoga etc located up a path through the surrounding bush.

Cleaning Service:

Thandi services the house on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays but is available for extra days. 

PRINCE'S GRANT ESTATE

Beach Haven is situated on the magnificent Prince's Grant Coastal Golf Estate on Kwazulu Natal’s North Coast, also known as the Dolphin Coast.

This golf course has been ranked one of the top 20 golf courses in South Africa and enjoys panoramic views of the Indian Ocean.

Golf Digest has rated the estate as "a 5-star golf experience". 

There is top quality 24-hour security throughout the Estate giving peace of mind to relax.

Visitors should also be reassured to know that it is also located in a malaria free region.

The Natal Parks Board named Prince's Grant a site of conservation significance and non-golfers can enjoy nature walks, bird watching, canoeing and fishing in the lagoon. 

There are also squash courts, tennis courts and communal swimming pools on the estate. Fat Bike facilities on site.

Enjoy miles of unspoiled sandy beaches and frequent sightings of bottlenose dolphins that are visible all year round.

Guests can also avail of Prince’s Grant Lodge’s excellent bar and restaurant facilities.

AROUND THE AREA

The nearest shopping is in KwaDukuza, a ten-minute drive from the estate. Tiffany’s Superspar complex and restaurants are located 15 minutes away off the motor way at Umhlali. Checkers’ Sixty Sixty deliver to the estate daily and Woolworths deliver three times weekly.

The seaside town of Ballito is 25 minutes’ drive and has three shopping malls, cinemas and a large variety of restaurants.

Gateway Shopping Centre - the largest mall in the Southern hemisphere – is about 40 minutes away.

See the Big Five at Hluhluwe-Imfolozi game reserve - the oldest reserves in South Africa just 90 minutes away. Phinda and Mkuze

St Lucia Estuary and Wetlands Park is a world heritage site and famous for fishing and wildlife less are 2 hours distance.

Sibaya Casino and entertainment world is 30 minutes’ drive.

Also easily within driving distance are the Zulu battlefield sites, Shakaland, King Shaka Gravesite and Albert Luthuli Memorial, Crocodile Creek, Natal Sharks board and Microlite flying from Ballito.

Visit Durban's spectacular aquarium and water park, Ushaka Marine and Water World. The aquarium is the 5th biggest in the world.

Our golf course at Prince’s Grant is one of the best in KZN but other recommended golf courses nearby are Durban Country Club, Umhlali, Simbithi, Beachwood and Mt Edgecombe.
