Kamberg Valley Hideaway

Kamberg Valley Hideaway is a 27-hectare small holding located in an un-spoilt part of the Drakensberg Mountains. The property has a small pond which is surrounded by reeds and active bird life as well as a main dam that is stocked with rainbow trout and has a lovely jetty and deck. Keen fishermen are welcome to try their luck at casting a fly-line in the dam, whilst non-fishermen can enjoy a glass of wine or a G&T on the deck whilst watching the sun set.

The property also border the Little Mooi River, so there is a short but enjoyable River Walk that guests can enjoy, with a few quiet spots to relax, read a book or have a picnic.

Kamberg Valley Hideaway has three self-catering cottages available for guests. All are tastefully decorated, comfortable and spacious with private patio / braai areas and stunning mountain views.

Forest Cottage is the largest cottage with 3-bedrooms and two bathrooms. It can accommodate a maximum of 6 guests.

The three bedrooms can all be made up with either a King bed or two single beds and all linen and towels are provided, as are electric blankets during the colder winter months.

The main bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a large oval bath and a walk-in, spacious shower. The other two bedrooms share a bathroom and are both connected to the bathroom, which has a large walk-in shower.

The kitchen, dining and living area are all open plan with sliding doors opening up onto a private patio / braai area.

The kitchen is fully equipped with gas hob, electric stove, fridge / freezer, microwave and dishwasher.

The living area has a free-standing log fireplace, a 3-seater, 2-seater and single seater couch and the dining area has a large wooden table with 6 chairs.

The patio contains a braai and table and 6 chairs and has spectacular mountain views.

Sunset Cottage is a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom cottage. It can accommodate a maximum of 4 guests.

The two bedrooms can all be made up with either a King bed or two single beds and all linen and towels are provided, as are electric blankets during the colder winter months.

Both bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms with a large walk-in, spacious shower.

The kitchen, dining and living area are all open plan with sliding doors opening up onto a private patio / braai area.

The kitchen is fully equipped with gas hob, electric stove, fridge / freezer and microwave.

The living area has a free-standing log fireplace, 2 x 2-seater couches and 2 x single seater couches and the dining area has a large wooden table with 6 chairs.

The patio contains a braai and table and 6 chairs and has spectacular mountain views.

Mountain View Cottage is a one-bedroom cottage, so can accommodate a maximum of 3 guests (we can add an additional single bed into the bedroom for a child). It adjoins the main house at Kamberg Valley Hideaway, but it feels totally separate as there is a private, separate entrance and private outdoor patio / braai area, with fabulous mountain views.

The bedroom can be made up with either a King bed or two single beds and all linen and towels are provided, as are electric blankets during the colder winter months.

There is a large bathroom in the cottage which has a spacious shower and well-lit mirror.

The kitchen and living area are open plan with double doors opening up onto a private patio / braai area.

The kitchen is fully equipped with gas hob, electric stove, fridge / freezer and microwave.

The living area has a free-standing log fireplace, a 2-seater and two single seater couches and the kitchen area has a large wooden table with 4 chairs.

The patio contains a braai and table and 4 chairs, plus stunning mountain views.

Free Wi-Fi is available in all cottages.

Parking is available next to each cottage.
