Southern Cross is situated on what is known as the ‘King’s Road’ in Southbroom because of the magnificent sea views of the Indian Ocean.

The house is within walking distance to the main beach as well as Granny’s Tidal Pool. Very close to the golf course and other amenities (coffee shop, restaurant, grocery shop). The main beach is particularly family friendly, and boasts an awesome point break for surfers.

This house has spectacular panoramic sea views from all the bedrooms, from the living area, the kitchen, the bar area, and from the covered veranda. Enjoy most amazing views of the changing ocean and sky every minute of the day. Dolphins can be spotted swimming in the swell and whales frequent the South Coast during whale season (July - September). The interior of the home is a relaxed fusion of old and new, the living spaces are an organic mix of soft relaxing natural tones with layers of textures, from the screed floors to the chunky rattan sofas.

Accommodation

The house can accommodate up to ten people. The luxurious main bedroom has spectacular views and a modern en-suite bathroom with a large bath tub and a rain shower.
Three other bedrooms also have en-suite bathroom with bath, shower, basin and toilet. The 5th bedroom has a bunk bend and has a separate shower, basin and toilet.

Location

Southbroom is the gem of the South Coast, a tranquil and relaxed seaside village, 180 km from King Shaka International Airport or 15km from Margate Airport. Visitors enjoy the subtropical climate, beaches and golf at the many scenic courses along what is known as the Golf Coast.

The South Coast offers a variety of activities including surfing, kite-surfing, nature trails, mountain biking trails, bird watching, fishing, horse riding, golf, bowls and tennis. You can pay a visit to spectacular Umtamvuna Nature Reserve, Oribi Gorge, Lake Eland Game Reserve or the crocodile farm, butterfly farm and Beaver Creek coffee estate.
