Twiga Lodge is a self-catering home situated in the well renowned malaria-free Mabalingwe Game Reserve amongst the majestic Waterberg mountains, a convenient 90 mins drive from Pretoria outside the town of Bela-Bela. Spend a few days in this wildlife sanctuary set in the African bush with various animals coming right to your doorstep. Rest, rejuvenate and enjoy the beauty and peacefulness of the surrounding reserve together with activities available on-site and in the near vicinity.
The house is a serviced self-catering unit with a fully-equipped kitchen including a Nespresso machine, microwave, electric oven and stove, large double door fridge/freezer and an ice machine. The house is well furnished and includes bedding, towels, crockery, cutlery etc as well as a washroom fitted with a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. The living area is thoughtfully appointed with a fireplace, flat-screen TV with DSTV, DVD player and Chromecast facility (enables casting services such as YouTube, Netflix and Showmax off your phone) together with a WiFi internet connection.

A large patio with built-in braai, table and seating spreads out onto the splash pool situated next to a magically lit boma (fire-pit) and outside braai area. The lodge has a private watering hole which attracts a variety of wildlife on a daily basis.
Mabalingwe Game Reserve offers visitors numerous activities besides self-drive game viewing. The reserve is known for being one of the few in the region that hosts all the Big 5 as well as others ranging from the smallest meerkat to the majestic elephant.
The Mabalingwe tourist centre located at the entrance is open daily for visitors to enquire and arrange activities. You can arrange to participate in the following:

The reserve also offers a remote bush-bar, a few restaurants, a small curio shop as well as a day spa.
